Terms of Service

These terms form an agreement between you and Nishkarsh Dubb, trading as YourIELTSPrep. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

Last updated: 5 August 2026

1. The service and who you contract with

The YourIELTSPrep website and application are operated by Nishkarsh Dubb, trading as YourIELTSPrep ("we", "us", "our"). These terms are an agreement between you and Nishkarsh Dubb. By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan or continuing to use the service, you accept them. You must be able to enter into a binding contract, and if you accept on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it.

YourIELTSPrep provides AI-assisted IELTS practice: generated practice tasks, estimated band scores, examiner-style feedback and study analytics. It is an independent preparation tool and a study aid only.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. IELTS is a trademark of those organisations, used here only to describe the exam our practice material is modelled on.

2. Band estimates are not official scores

Every band figure, criterion score and piece of feedback in the service is generated by artificial intelligence. It is an estimate for practice purposes only. It may be wrong, and it will not always match the score a certified examiner would award.

Only an official IELTS test centre can issue a valid IELTS result. Do not rely on our estimates for visa, immigration, employment, admission or registration decisions, and do not present them as an IELTS score. We make no promise that using the service will produce any particular result in a real test.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must give accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Accounts are personal. Do not share, resell or transfer access.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Plans, payment and subscriptions

YourIELTSPrep offers a free plan with a limited number of AI-graded essays per month, and paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro and Unlimited) with higher or unlimited allowances. Current prices, allowances and billing cycles are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which apply in addition to these terms.

  • Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price until cancelled. Taxes are added where applicable and shown at checkout.
  • Changing plans. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your billing page. Changes take effect immediately and the difference for the remainder of the period is charged or credited on a pro-rata basis.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, Paddle may retry it. We may suspend paid features if payment remains outstanding.
  • Refunds. See our refund policy.
  • Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods and will give you reasonable notice by email before a change applies to you.

The AI Writing module is available today; Speaking, Reading and Listening are in development and are included in paid plans when they launch. Features may change or be improved over time, and we will not materially reduce what your active plan includes without notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit unlawful, abusive, hateful or infringing content.
  • Upload other people's personal data or confidential material into practice answers.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated tools to extract our generated content in bulk.
  • Resell, redistribute or republish generated tasks, model answers or feedback as your own product.
  • Circumvent usage limits, interfere with the service, or attempt to access other users' data.

Generation is subject to fair-use limits so the service stays available to everyone. We may throttle or suspend accounts that use it in a way that is clearly automated or abusive.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you write. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your submissions so we can operate the service — generating feedback, scores and your progress history — and to use aggregated, de-identified data to improve scoring accuracy. You can delete your content or your account at any time.

7. Our content

The software, design, prompts, rubric summaries and generated material we provide are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal exam preparation. All other rights are reserved.

8. Third-party services

The service depends on third-party hosting, authentication, AI and payment providers, including Paddle as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Their availability and behaviour are outside our control, and outages on their side may interrupt the service or checkout.

9. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms materially, if a payment for a paid plan remains outstanding, if there is a security or fraud risk, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and uninterrupted availability.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, exam outcomes, visa or admission decisions, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.

If you are a consumer, you keep all mandatory statutory rights available in your country of residence, and nothing here overrides them.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which YourIELTSPrep is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
